The company first began in 2004 with little more than a few paint brushes, a ladder, a love of painting and a passion for transforming ordinary rooms into extraordinary spaces. Within the first year, word had quickly spread from Mechanicsville across the Metro Richmond area that the women behind S&S Painting were talented, professional, reliable and reasonably priced. The team continues to grow each year.

Stacey Spear

Stacey Spear is the Owner and Founder of S&S Painting, LLC , an all-woman interior painting company in business since 2004. After many successful years in project management and sales for a major U.S. bank, Stacey was determined to find a way to use her artistic and creative talents and leverage her business expertise while balancing the needs of her family. She found what she was looking for by accident when she did some painting work for her church. They were so happy with the work she did, they started sending her referrals. It wasn’t long before S&S Painting began, and today—it’s a successful company of nine employees.

Stacey has been an active member of the Painting Contractors of America, one of the oldest and most respected contractor organizations in the U.S, since 2006. She has numerous 5-Star Google reviews, has received regional recognition for recent painting projects, and is known for taking on complex custom painting jobs.

I cannot say enough about this company; professional, talented, and efficient are words that come to mind. I am currently in the middle of a complete interior repaint with S&S; it's the first coat of paint after the builder finished. The rooms that are complete are AMAZING; the walls were in horrible shape after the builders were done with it - every inch has been sanded, spackled, and corrected. The paint is smooth as silk, and having these women in my home is a pleasure... every one of them are pleasant, efficient, and talented. I'm doing a lot of deep colors and nothing phases this crew. I had an emergency color change (which was my fault); no problem, it was handled the next day.
Stacy is a joy as well - she actually took my call, pulled over, and helped me select the emergency color change on the fly. Zero waiting. Her enthusiasm for my color selections and her guidance on potential clashes and color saturation advice were spot on. She has set up these painters for success! Price-wise, S&S came in in the middle of the scale out of 3 estimates, but what sold me was Stacy's knowledge and description of the work - she was the only one to actually walk me through the process of what needed to be done to put a real finish on these walls; it's exactly what was missing from the other two quotes. I don't often write a review in the MIDDLE of a job, but the results I've seen so far are so impressive to me, I just had to say something. Adding some completed photos.
